Goalkeepers

Creighton soccer has a rich tradition of developing top class goalkeepers.  Almost every year Creighton has had one of the lowest goals against average of the 200 schools in NCAA Division One.

The goalkeeper is definitely not a forgotten player at Creighton University.  At the Creighton Soccer Academy in the summer, the goalkeeper receives the same type training that our collegiate players have used to excel in the position.

This past fall, Creighton's goalkeeper Matt Allen was selected as the first ever two time Defensive Player of the Year in the Missouri Valley Conference.  He recently signed a professional contract in Norway.  Creighton has a history of producing All Americans in the goalkeeping position.  Let us train you this summer like the Creighton goalkeepers train!

The goalkeeper curriculum at the Creighton Soccer Academy combines the best of both worlds.   Unlike a Goalkeeper only camp where there is little practical application of skills, we create a challenging environment every day.  Skill, technique and tactical training in the morning set the stage for practical application the rest of the day.  The goalkeeper gets practical training in small sided games to full sized goals and in the evening the goalkeeper plays in full sided matches.  Two goalkeepers are chosen each night for the all star match.
